A year in Churchfield

As we come to the end of 2025, the Friends of Churchfield committee would like to thank everyone who has used and supported the area this year. It has been another busy and enjoyable year for the community.

Below are some pictures of the noticeboards that our Secretary, Kate Tunstall, has created in the past 12 months. The colourful and informative notices help us to share news and upcoming wildlife events. In January we shared the Big Garden Bird Watch and invited you to join the Apple Wassailing. In March and April we encouraged everyone to meet us for our  Annual General Meeting and to come along for the Path and Edge Clearing day. We hosted our annual Picnic in the Park in July and proudly shared the good news about the wonderful new Wellbeing Garden. Moving into Autumn, we celebrated National Apply Day (while supporting the charitable work of the Denby Dale District Lions) and gave an update about the Churchfield orchard. Finally, earlier this month we gathered together to dress the trees with beautiful, wildlife-friendly decorations.

We would also like to thank Denby Dale Parish Council for providing a grant to support this webhosting service. We are very grateful that the work of the Friends of Churchfield continues to be recognised and supported.
